The Quintessence of Burgundian traditions are at home in this Domaine: they speak through the vines, over 70 years old, bringing astonishing depth and complexity to the cuvées; they speak of the ethos, transparent to the vintages, honest and unadorned; they speak of the family history itself, where vine growing has been practised since 1755.

Alain, with past stewardships of esteemed plots like Mazis-Chambertin and Clos de la Roche for the Hospices de Beaune, is a tireless innovator who never settles for simple answers: emblematic of this is his choice of Cordon Royat for vine training and gentle foot treading during fermentation. A true old-school Burgundy with rustic charm and incredible structure.
